Coast to Coast

Hi again,

We just thought that we would update the blog with some recent photos and information. First, Ally and Alexis traveled to California to visit with Alexis' family. They had a great time visiting with friends and family they hadn't seen in 11 months. Their visit included a trip to a local zoo, an outdoor mall with a carousel and fountain, and visiting some of Alexis' favorite restaurants.

During their trip to CA, Scott's grandfather passed away on New Year's Eve. He had been ill, but fortunately Scott was able to see his "Pup-pup" about a week before he passed. Although our occasion for going to Ithaca, NY wasn't a happy one; we were thankful to spend some time with Scott's family and enjoy the snow. This was Ally's first experience being out in the snow, and she looked like a little snow bunny!! While in Ithaca we visited the waterfalls and a few of the spots we frequent during our summer vacation there. There were beautiful snowy scenes every where, nothing like Alexis or Ally had seen before.

Finally, Ally had a positive visit to her pediatrician on Wednesday. Aside from crying every time the nurse or doctor walked into the room, she was brave when she received her 3 shots and enjoyed the lollipop afterward. She was in the 97th percentile for height, 89th percentile for weight, and 1,000th percentile for cuteness! (I know they don't measure that, but she would be up there!) Dr. Wiley said it's great that she's still gaining weight and growing was very pleased with her physical development.

Ally was a wonderful little traveler and adjusted very well to her new environments and time changes over the 2 weeks she and Alexis were away from home. Thankfully she stayed healthy and has re-adjusted to being back with her sitter. We are also thankful for prayers regarding Scott and his family as they dealt with his grandfather's passing. God is so gracious and we feel blessed to be called His own.

Enjoy the plethora of photos! :)

Happy to be back at home playing with her Christmas gifts!

Eating a soy corn-dog... with lots of ketchup.

Ally loves ketchup.... wonder who that gene came from?!?!
