Spring Update

Hi everyone!!! I know that we haven't had a blog post in FOREVER, but I finally have taken some time to put together some photos of Miss Allycakes from this Spring. Ally I went to The Children's Museum of Richmond one rainy day during Spring Break. We had so much fun and Ally loved pretending to pick apples from the orchard. My parents and sister came for a visit around Easter and we had a great time with them here. We went to Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens and Ally enjoyed exploring the children's garden and closely examining delicate flowers. It was a good Spring and the week before I finished teaching to begin the summer, we went to the Virginia Beach with good friends of ours- Jeremy and Cassey. It was Ally's first time and she was NOT a fan of the sand at first. But eventually she was playing, building sand castles, chasing crabs, and having a great time- just NOT in the water!

Pregnancy update: Alexis is now 27 weeks pregnant with our little boy!! (Only 13 weeks to go!!) Feeling well most days, just tired more often. Thankfully the summer is here and napping when Ally does is now an option.

Hope you all enjoy the photos and we promise to update again soon after our vacation to Ithaca, NY.

Hanging out in a dinosaur egg at The Children's Museum.
Playing in the "grocery store" at the museum.

Enjoying the breeze in the tree house at the garden and watching the ducks swim.
She's such a character... totally hysterical!!

Laughing with mommy while tearing a sticker.
Inspecting the flowers... she was pretty good about being gentle.
"Cheese" while sharing her snack with the dogs... they LOVE her- can you guess why?!?!?!
Some nummies for "beebee".
Decorating Easter cookies.

A good chef always tastes what they make right?? Ally enjoyed licking the icing off of the cookies she decorated.

At the grocery store in Winchester, VA with Kyra Magerko during the Apple Blossom festival in May. Decorating Dadda with stickers... he's a trooper!

One of the many crabs we saw at the beach. The one Ally chased was MUCH smaller.

Ally and Cassey Nichols playing in the sand.

Enjoying a snack with Mommy after getting wet by the ocean- she was NOT happy about that.

Verturing closer to the water- just not getting in!

Still a little annoyed by the sand on her feet.

This was taken after she cried for a couple minutes when we took her shoes off.

Playing with Dadda in the sand helped her get used to it and feel more comfortable.

Showing Ally that she can have fun playing in the sand.
