The Tompkins Family: Pumpkin Patch and Hay Ride

The last week Ally has been dealing with a bad cold. Most of the time she's been her normal happy self, but she's definitely a little off at times. Her cough has disrupted her sleep and her naps have been thrown off, but she's getting better. On top of that, she's teething heavily and might even be working on some molars. In general Ally has been living up to her middle name and dealing with all of this discomfort gracefully. She's a tough cookie!

Today we went to Tom Leonard's (a local grocery store) and went on a hay ride, picked out some pumpkins in the patch, and watched Ally entertain everyone with her dancing. (see video at end!) She truly stole the show... it was hysterical! Ally loved the hay ride and was mimicking the sounds of the tractor. She also enjoyed looking at the cute decorations we saw around the store while on the ride. Scott has never carved a pumpkin so we are looking forward to making some smiley pumpkins in the next week to put on our front steps.

We also shopped at Nordstrom for Scott and Ally. I found some adorable slippers for Ally to wear during the mornings, which have been so wonderfully cool lately. (pictures forthcoming) We've enjoyed our weather this last week and have been pleased with not having to use the air conditioning the last few weeks... fresh air, yes!!
